About the Client
Vitsupp by Marin is a health technology application that helps users track their health routines, supplements, and doctors' recommendations. Daily health-data entry, an AI-assisted advisor, a calendar, and notification journeys make it a product people interact with regularly.
The team wanted to make its iOS and Android applications accessible, reach more users, and establish accessibility as a lasting part of its product culture.
The Challenge
Accessibility was a prerequisite for users entering health data
Vitsupp users do more than consume content: they complete forms, enter health data, chat with an AI advisor, and make payments. A barrier in any of these journeys could make the application unusable for someone relying on a screen reader or keyboard, or living with a motor disability.
Critical journeys came first
The project established three strategic goals:
- Enable users with visual, hearing, or motor disabilities to use Vitsupp independently
- Align the application with WCAG accessibility standards, particularly across forms, health-data entry, and premium payment journeys
- Make accessibility part of a continuous development culture, rather than a one-off fix
A small team with a fast product cadence
Vitsupp did not have a dedicated accessibility team or resources for lengthy audit cycles. The process needed to deliver results in hours rather than days without disrupting product development.
The Approach
Binclusive acted as Vitsupp's accessibility solution partner. The entire process, from auditing to verification, was completed in under two days.
1. Screen-based technical audit
The audit followed real user journeys instead of an abstract criteria list. Registration, health forms, chat and AI advisor, calendar, notifications, premium features, and the paywall were examined screen by screen.
Each finding described not only the criterion that was violated, but also where and why a user could not proceed.
2. Code-level finding reports
Issues were documented with screenshots, technical explanations, and direct code-level remediation guidance. Findings in shared components, including text fields, the tab bar, and social sign-in buttons, were prioritized so that a single correction could improve every screen using that component.
3. Remediation with Binclusive AI skills
Vitsupp's engineering team used Binclusive AI skills to resolve the reported findings directly in its own codebase. Combining code-level recommendations with AI assistance enabled the team to fix issues in shared components and all critical and serious findings within five hours.
4. Screen-by-screen progress tracking
Every screen was labelled “Covered,” “Partial,” or “Untouched” in the report. This simple structure allowed the team to understand progress at a glance and prioritize the remaining work.
Results
An accessibility finding was also a security vulnerability
The audit's most striking discovery involved the visual effect used to conceal premium content. A sighted user could not read the blurred content, but the visual treatment created no equivalent boundary for a screen reader. A screen reader user could therefore listen to all premium content without paying.
The finding demonstrated that accessibility issues can affect not only usability and customer experience, but also security and the business model. The paywall vulnerability was closed during the project.
Every critical and serious finding was resolved
All critical and serious accessibility findings were fixed and verified within five hours of the audit.
Accessibility improvements in the App Store release history
Vitsupp told users in its App Store release history that its screen reader support had been redesigned. The update covered item naming, touch-target sizes, color contrast, skipping unnecessary elements, and alternative ways to complete tasks.

A clear roadmap
Remaining moderate and minor findings—including heading structure, multilingual support, and reduced-motion settings—were added to the product backlog through a prioritized roadmap. Accessibility moved from a one-time audit output into the team's continuous development cycle.
The first application to join #Access100
Vitsupp by Marin became the first application to join #Access100 (opens in new tab), a Binclusive movement aiming to make 100 applications and 100 video assets accessible by 3 December. In keeping with the movement's principles, disabled users experienced and verified the work before it was published on access100.day.
Are Your Digital Products Accessible to Everyone?
Vitsupp's story shows how a single overlooked visual effect in a health application can become a serious accessibility and security vulnerability. With the right tools, resolving it required under two days rather than weeks.
As in our work with Vitsupp, Binclusive audits products through real user journeys, reports findings at code level, and enables teams to implement fixes quickly with AI skills.
