Pazarama×Binclusive

Pazarama is an innovative e-commerce platform, backed by İş Bankası, that brings together the products and services consumers need under one roof in the online shopping sector. Positioning making its ecosystem accessible to everyone and elevating its technological infrastructure to global standards to deliver an inclusive digital experience as a strategic priority, Pazarama aimed to initiate the accessibility transformation of its digital channels in line with this vision.

Project Purpose and Focus

The following goals were set within the scope of the project:

• Enabling users with visual, auditory, or other ability diversity to use the Pazarama website and mobile app independently and accessibly,
• Making the platforms compliant with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standards and Turkey's Web Sites and Mobile Applications Accessibility Directive,
• Ensuring that critical user journeys such as product search, filtering, add to cart, payment, and account management are usable for all users,

Working Process with Binclusive

As Binclusive, we participated in the process as an active solution partner working alongside Pazarama teams on accessibility efforts.

A. Technical & Disabled User Testing

We tested Pazarama's mobile and web platforms against WCAG 2.2 standards using Binclusive technology and users from different disability groups, both before and after development. The tests focused particularly on critical user journeys such as product search, cart and payment, and account and order management.

B. Technical Issue Reporting and Solution Recommendations

We reported all identified accessibility issues in detail, with screenshots, technical explanations, and code-level solution recommendations. During this process, the accessibility issues identified in the iOS and Android applications were resolved at the code level by Pazarama's technical teams.

C. Technical Consulting Support

Throughout the process, we worked in full alignment with the technical and business unit teams, providing one-on-one technical consulting support to the development process.

D. Binclusive Accessibility Tool Integration

We integrated the Binclusive Accessibility Tool into the website, making the platform customizable to users' individual needs. The Binclusive accessibility tool has been actively used by 73,900 unique users to date.

Results

As a result of this comprehensive accessibility transformation, Pazarama:

• Brought all its digital platforms into compliance with Turkey's Web Sites and Mobile Applications Accessibility Directive.
• Was awarded the Gold Award in the "Best Accessibility" category at the E-Commerce Summit Awards ceremony organized by Pazarlama Türkiye.
